Frequently asked questions.
Rules & Safety
How exactly does Nectry enforce rules on agents?
Nectry does not rely on a prompt asking the agent to behave or another AI deciding whether an action looks safe. It expresses deterministic constraints in the tools the agent uses and blocks operations that fall outside those constraints before execution. When a policy prohibits an action or sensitive output, that path is not available to the agent.
What if my AI hallucinates?
Agents will hallucinate; that cannot be eliminated entirely. Nectry prevents those hallucinations from performing operations you did not allow: unwanted actions are unavailable to the agent or blocked before execution. The model may still produce an incorrect response, but Nectry keeps it from turning that response into an unauthorized tool action.
How is Nectry better than something I vibe code myself?
Nectry is a purpose-built platform grounded in two decades of MIT research in programming languages, compilers, and formal methods. Instead of assembling prompt-based controls and application code yourself, you get fine-grained controls and strong security properties designed into the platform.
Can I use my team’s existing policies and rules with Nectry?
Yes. Nectry is fully customizable. The configuration assistant can take your team’s unique rules and configure your MCP server in minutes. Nectry can adapt to your team’s specific requirements.
Compatibility & Integrations
Does Nectry integrate with third-party tools that our team already uses?
Yes. Nectry supports more than a dozen popular services, including Google Workspace, GitHub, Slack, and HubSpot. We can add support for additional services, and you can create an integration for a tool that provides a REST or MCP API.
Can Nectry integrate with my team’s internal tools?
Yes. You can connect Nectry to internal tools and databases that expose a REST API or an MCP server.
Which models does Nectry work with?
Nectry works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or your preferred agent.
Data & Deployment
Does Nectry have access to my company’s data?
For personal and small-team deployments, data passes through Nectry’s servers. Nectry does not use that data for training. See the applicable terms for details about access and retention. For on-premises enterprise deployments, company data does not pass through Nectry’s servers.
Can I use Nectry on our own servers?
Yes. Standard Nectry runs in the Nectry cloud. For enterprise customers, Nectry also offers a lightweight, containerized deployment that can run in your own environment.
Getting Started
Can a non-technical person use Nectry?
Yes. Anyone on your team can configure and use Nectry by describing what they want to the Nectry assistant. You can then review the exact configuration visually and in plain language. The displayed configuration is deterministic, not AI-generated, so you do not need to rely on an AI summary of what was configured.
Will someone from IT need to administer Nectry at my company?
You will need an administrator, but IT skills are not required. Making changes is as easy as describing what you want, and the Nectry dashboard makes it simple to monitor usage.
Who at my company can use Nectry MCP?
Anyone who uses AI can use Nectry, whether you deploy it for one team, several teams, or your entire organization.
