Update row in table

Update an existing row in a table by matching on its key. The mapping must include the key column. Only mapped non-key columns are updated; unmapped columns are left untouched.

Details

rowFilters restricts which rows this step may touch, exactly as the Update table row tool’s filters do: the filters are ANDed into the update’s WHERE clause, so a row they exclude is left untouched – the update matches nothing, as when the key finds no row – and the pipeline continues.

Local scope

The parent slot binds these (look up the slot in the parent to see how):

  • $table – The table to act on

Names introduced within this component’s knobs:

  • table – table chosen from the app’s schema (via table knob)
  • key – key column of table
  • mappingResult – empty table populated by ingredients
  • keyTable – empty table populated by ingredients

Settings

Required

  • table : table
    The table to update

  • mapping : ingredient slot of mappingIngredientsList($table, mappingResult, table) (many, until table >= mappingResult)
How to map available field values to the target table’s columns. Must include the key column. Unmapped non-key columns are left untouched.

Optional

  • rowFilters : row filters on table
Restrict which rows this step may update, using filter operators like eq, neq, gt, lt, in, currentUser, etc. A row the filters exclude is left untouched. Each filter is a list item with a kind (the operator) and settings.
Operators: eq, neq, gt/gte/lt/lte (column/value), in (column/values list), after/before (column/days), currentUser (column only).
